SIMONSBERG CONSERVANCY
We are actively working to conserve 700 hectares of our farm in alignment with The Greater Simonsberg Conservancy, a non-profit organisation that supports its members in their conservation efforts while providing services in the surrounding communities.
THE NATIONAL LANDCARE PROGRAMME
With guidance from this government-supported community-based initiative, Boschendal works to conserve natural resources, create a conservation ethic through education and awareness and create jobs to address poverty by launching various natural resource rehabilitation, improvement and conservation projects.
CONSERVATION AT WORK
Conservation at Work is a Non-Profit Organisation that promotes and supports the conservation of private land in the Western Cape. As stewards of land in the Cape Winelands that is of high conservation importance, it’s our responsibility to protect the indigenous flora and fauna that call Boschendal home.
WINELANDS FIRE PROTECTION AGENCY
As a member of the WFPA, Boschendal works to reduce wildfire-related injuries and loss to property and the environment through the maintenance of an integrated fire management programme. We work together to promote and protect the high levels of biodiversity, endemism, and red data species of the Cape Floristic Region.
