A Farm Shaped Over Time

At Boschendal, work follows the rhythm of the farm – shaped by seasons, people, produce, and care.

Set in the heart of the Cape Winelands, Boschendal is a living farm where hospitality, retail, food, wine, craft, and land come together in experiences that feel warm, generous, and grounded.

Every detail matters: what we grow, make, stock, sell, and share with our guests.

Our Purpose: Regenerating our Future through People & Soil

At Boschendal, regeneration begins with the land and is carried forward by our people. We are a farm with purpose, caring for our soil, nurturing our teams, strengthening our community, and creating meaningful guest experiences through genuine hospitality – all rooted in the future we are shaping together.

Regen Kids Team Leader

We are looking for an energetic, creative and hands-on Regen Kids Team Leader to develop and run Boschendal’s Free Range Kids experience.

This is not a traditional kids’ club role. We are looking for someone with a strong outdoor, nature-based and experiential programme background who can create meaningful experiences that connect children to the farm, nature, animals and the outdoors.

The ideal candidate will be someone who genuinely enjoys working with children, is comfortable outdoors and has the confidence to create and lead programmes that are fun, educational and distinctly Boschendal.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and develop the overall Free Range Kids / Tree House concept and programme.
  • Develop seasonal activities around farming, nature, animals, outdoor skills, making and exploration.
  • Further develop our badge/achievement system to encourage repeat visits.
  • Lead and train the Tree House team and ensure consistent delivery.
  • Manage the Tree House space, equipment, activities and stocking.
  • Develop the toddler/soft-play offering for mid-week revenue.
  • Bring a nanny/babysitting service in-house for accommodation guests.
  • Develop and grow the kids’ party offering, including themed farm experiences.
  • Work closely with Farming, Gardens, Horses, Conservation, F&B and Marketing to bring the farm into the programme.
  • Ensure high standards of child safety, supervision and guest experience.
  • Look for opportunities to grow the Tree House into a meaningful family revenue stream for Boschendal.

The person we’re looking for

  • Experience in outdoor education, nature-based programmes, children’s camps, wilderness/outdoor activities or experiential learning.
  • A genuine passion for working with children.
  • Energetic, warm, creative and highly practical.
  • Comfortable leading activities outdoors and getting involved rather than simply managing from a desk.
  • Strong organisational and people-management skills.
  • Commercially minded, with an ability to identify opportunities to grow the family offering.
  • First aid and relevant child-safety qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Ideally someone who understands and appreciates farming, nature, sustainability and the outdoors.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who can make the Tree House feel alive – someone who can turn Boschendal’s farm into an adventure for children.
