Social Media Content Creator
We are looking for a creative and passionate Social Media Content Creator to join our team and support two exciting hospitality properties under the same ownership. The ideal candidate will be a talented photographer and videographer, with a keen eye for storytelling and the ability to create engaging, high-quality content across multiple digital platforms. The role has a dual property responsibility overseeing the Social Media content for both Boschendal and Dorp Hotel.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Create high-quality photo and video content that highlights both properties, showcasing their unique guest experiences, offerings, and amenities across retail, food & beverage, events,and accommodation. Manage and curate content for social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), ensuring brand consistency across both properties.
• Write captivating captions and copy that bring content to life and resonate with target audiences.
• Collaborate with the marketing teams to develop content calendars, campaign concepts, and storytelling strategies.
• Edit and optimize visuals and videos for different platforms and audiences.
• Monitor social trends, stay updated on best practices, and suggest fresh, creative ideas to drive engagement.
• Assist with occasional live event coverage, behind-the-scenes content, and influencer collaborations.
• Ensure brand guidelines and tone of voice are consistently applied.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Proven experience as a content creator, photographer, and videographer.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating photography, videography, and social media content work (hospitality or travel experience preferred).
• Excellent editing skills (photo and video).
• Familiarity with social media platforms, trends, and analytics.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work on-site and occasionally during evenings/weekends for events.
• Travel between our two properties (Cape Town and Franschhoek) will be required.
• Must have own car and valid driver’s license
