Part-time We are looking for a dynamic and detail-driven Technical Accountant to join our finance team on a 6 month contract . In this role, you will take ownership of the full audit process — from translating Management Accounts to Trial Balance, ensuring audit readiness, to coordinating closely with external auditors.
This is a hands-on opportunity suited for a newly qualified professional with strong technical acumen and a passion for high-quality financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own and manage the end-to-end audit process
• Translate Management Accounts to Trial Balance accurately
• Ensure ongoing audit readiness throughout the financial year
• Liaise and collaborate with auditors to meet deadlines and compliance standards
• Interpret and apply relevant accounting standards (IFRS)
• Prepare and review technical accounting papers and disclosures
• Assist with statutory reporting and related deliverables
• Support the broader finance team with technical guidance and quality checks
Qualifications & Experience:
o CA(SA) or AGA(SA)
o Recently completed SAICA Articles (Big 4 or mid-tier firms preferred)
o 0–2 years post-articles experience
o Strong understanding of IFRS and audit processes
o Exposure to trial balance preparation and technical accounting documentation
Technical Skills:
o Advanced Excel skills
o Familiarity with financial systems
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
